The School Leadership Team (SLT) is a group of people who develop educational policies for their school. They also make sure there are resources to support those policies.
SLTs:
- Provide ongoing evaluations of a school’s educational programs and their impact on student achievement.
- Play an important role in school-based decision-making
- Help to make school cultures more collaborative.
PS8’s SLT is composed of teachers and parents. For the 2026-2027 school year, the parent members of the SLT are:
- Gabriella Green
- Danielle Scott
- Isha Sheth
- Vera Zolotaryova
SLT school staff members will be elected in the fall.
Ex officio members:
- Julie Schultz (UFT representative)
- Anita Baier/Amelie Walker-Yung (PTA Co-Presidents)
- Trish Peterson (Principal)
The SLT usually meets the second Tuesday of each month during the school year. The meetings are hybrid (both on Zoom and in-person)
