Sophie Brady has a master’s degree in General and Special Education from Bank Street College. She is a Math for America Master Teacher and loves using investigations, number talks, and math routines to make math come alive for her students. She began teaching in 2002 before joining the PS 8 community in 2013.
Sophie is passionate about creating a strong classroom community, and she loves seeing her students grow and learn together. She credits her amazing elementary school for inspiring her to teach.
Sophie lives in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter, and son. Her biggest claim to fame is fielding an unassisted triple play in a 1989 little league game.
