You Are the PTA!
All parents, guardians and teachers of PS8/MS8 students are automatically members of the PTA. We are all committed to making PS8/MS8 the best school it can possibly be. Without parent and teacher volunteers, the PTA would not be able to provide our students and the wider school community with our amazing array of programs and academic enrichments.
How Can I Help PS8/MS8 ?
Ideally, we would love each family to volunteer at least two hours a month to PS8/MS8. Two hours a month is an invaluable contribution to our school community. When you donate time to PS8/MS8, you meet new people, share your talents, and make your kids proud of you and their school. There are unlimited volunteer opportunities and many of them can be done outside school hours, on your own time. You can work two hours at the Spring Auction, bake cupcakes for a bake sale, sell popcorn at the PJ Movie Night, update content on the PS8 website, make phone calls during our auction solicitations or decide to run for a year-long PTA board position. Every person’s efforts make a difference and are greatly appreciated by the school community and your kids.
Fill out our online Particip8 Form to tell us what time you have available and what skills you have to offer . . . and we’ll get in touch with you if opportunities seem a good fit!
Email Jennifer Rendeiro, our volunteer coordinator, at email@example.com with any questions.
