THE 2021 READATHON IS ON!

From January 8th to February 8th, children are challenged to read as much as they can and raise funds for PS8 by collecting pledges from sponsors.

TO REGISTER:

  • Go to http://pledgestar.com/robertfulton
  • Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
  • Enter your name and email, then click “Submit”
  • Follow the instructions to register your child(ren)

    Parents and faculty are welcome to participate in the Readathon for fun – and to model a love of reading! Follow the steps above and select “Parents and Faculty” from the drop-down menu.

TO LOG MINUTES:

  • Go to https://pledgestar.com/robertfulton
  • Click “Already Registered?” to log in
  • Scroll down to the “Enter Readers” section
  • Click the book icon next to your child’s name
  • Enter the date and minutes read and click “Add”

TO REQUEST PLEDGES:

  • Go to https://pledgestar.com/robertfulton
  • Click “Already Registered?” to log in
  • Upload a photo to personalize your pledge request
  • Add emails for family and friends (input emails manually or import from last year’s event or from Gmail/Yahoo/Microsoft)
  • Share on social media platforms

OTHER INFO:

  • Minutes read aloud to Kindergarten and 1st Grade students count towards the Readathon.
  • Minutes can be logged on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Minutes will be tallied every Sunday, and weekly results will be shared every Monday via Google Classroom and in the weekly PTA Upd8.
  • If you forget to enter your child’s minutes, don’t worry! They will be included the following week.
  • Milestone buttons will be distributed at the end of the Readathon, as opposed to week-by-week.
  • There will be a weekly raffle (3 random winners each week) and a TBD GRAND PRIZE for the class in each grade with the highest average minutes read. Cohorts A and B (if applicable) are working together.

You will receive an email when your order is ready to be picked up in the Parent Coordinator’s office at school (inside the main entrance on left before the security booth).
