ICT and SETSS
My background is in the arts. I grew up in South Jersey, near Philadelphia. When I was in middle school, I started singing. Although pretty shy, I found myself performing professionally into adulthood and beyond.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from Rowan University and my master’s degree from St. Joseph’s University, where I studied both general and special education.
I’ve been teaching for 19 years (and was a paraprofessional for 3 more!). My favorite part is the opportunity to help build confidence and mindfulness. I appreciate the notion that we’re always (vulnerable) learners who need encouragement.
Outside of school, I’m a non-professional foodie, enjoying Brooklyn eats maybe too much. You might also see me in line at TKTS.
