Michelle Bonasera holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn and a master’s degree from Hunter College. She is certified to teach general and special education classes. Michelle started as a student-teacher at PS8 in 2009 and liked it so much she never left. She returned the following year as a substitute teacher and became a full-time teacher in 2011.
Michelle enjoys teaching at PS8 because “the school represents a true community,” in that staff and parents work together closely on projects to benefit the school. She enjoys laughing with her students, learning about their different personalities ,and designing strategies to help make learning fun for them. She hopes to make a mark on their lives.
Outside of school, Michelle spends time reading, exercising, and cooking.
