Ashley Pavic received a bachelor’s degree in Art History with a minor in Spanish from the University of Arizona. Ashley spent six years administering after-school and summer school programs for 25 schools in her Arizona school district. As part of this work, she managed a million-dollar budget and arranged for enrichment programs in chess, art, music, tumbling, and more.
In 2008, Ashley moved to New York and joined New York City’s Teaching Fellows Program. She taught in a third-grade ICT classroom while earning her master’s degree from Brooklyn College and certification in general and special education. In 2010, Ashley joined the third-grade ICT teaching team at PS8 before moving to fourth grade. Ashley appreciates the involvement of teachers, staff, and families in the life of the school and PS8’s continuing efforts to improve the student experience.
Outside of school, Ashley likes to visit parks and museums and enjoys meals out with family and friends.
