First Graders treated parents to a drama performance last week that highlighted their ability to work together to bring a book to life. Leo Lionni’s award-winning children’s book, Swimmy was the title they chose to present.
The story follows “Swimmy” the Beta fish on his adventures in the ocean, the lessons he learns and the creatures he meets along the way. It was wonderful to see how the kids relied on each other to tell the story using only their bodies and of course, a lot of giggles.
