In the spring the PTA Executive Board collaborates with Principal Phillips to form a view about the school’s needs in the following year. This helps inform the PTA about how it can best help the school, often through fundraising.
The PTA’s executive board communicates to the larger school community about its view of the school’s needs and the PTA’s plans to meet those needs in the following year. The budget is approved by the community at the first PTA meeting of the school year. In assembling a budget, the Executive Board relies heavily on the Principal to advise the PTA on what financial and other investments are in the best interests of the children’s education.
