After School Learning Club
After school tutoring is available for students performing below grade level in any academic subject. Classroom teachers will determine need for children in grades K-3, and test scores will determine need for children in grades 4 and 5.
Special Education
PS 8 has one class in each grade (K-5) that uses the Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) model. ICT pairs a general education teacher and a special education teacher in the same classroom. PS 8 also offers related services – occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and counseling – on-site for students who have been evaluated and recommended for special services.
