At PS 8 since 2002
Monique Jerry loves teaching 3rd grade. “The students are so mature and understand their role in the classroom. They are beginning to understand the link between being an active participant in class and how that shapes you as a student.” She also enjoys the third grade curriculum – it’s “exciting,” she says. “I’m just pleased to be a part of my third graders’ educational journey.”
Ms. Jerry loves to read, especially historical fiction; she recommends Philippa Gregory’s The Other Boleyn Girl. She also enjoys going to the movies. She is a graduate of CUNY Hunter, where she earned her master’s degree in Elementary Education.
